Publix Super Markets will feature products grown in Florida at in-store cooking apron demonstrations and at Publix Apron’s Cooking School locations this spring.
The promotion is part of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Fresh from Florida marketing campaign to promote Florida-grown spring produce. bib apron
Between February and May, three- to four-day cooking demonstrations at Publix stores will feature the products, with recipe cards on display. The products will also be included in classes at waist apron’s Cooking Schools in Atlanta, and in Jacksonville, Boca Raton, Tampa, and Sarasota, Fla.
Justin Timineri, executive chef for FDACS, will teach customers how to handle and prepare the Florida products at each cooking school location.
Previous partnerships between Publix and FDACS include in-store product demonstrations and advertising displays, recipe brochures, product distribution and retail incentive programs, a release said.
Lakeland, Fla.-based Publix is Florida’s largest supermarket chain. It has 730 stores in Florida, and nearly 300 in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.
